Kyle "The Caveman" McLaughlin

Coach & Community Leader

Kyle has spent his career giving back. He works with disabled adults and at-risk youth — proving that strength is moral and social as much as it is physical. When he walks in the room, people notice.

Sara Bailey

Coach & Fighter

Sara brings elite technique and lived experience into the gym every day. She teaches that discipline is the foundation everything else is built on — in the ring and in life.

We continue to bring professional fighters — including international guests — into the program to keep the standard high and give our participants exposure beyond their immediate neighbourhoods.

About the Program

Too many young people are lost. Growing up without stable mentorship, without structure, without a trusted figure who genuinely sees them. Told what not to do — but never shown how to build strength, resilience, purpose.

The Brass Knuckles Canadian Fight Klub is designed to fill that void. Through structured boxing training, physical conditioning, leadership development, and mentorship from professional fighters, we help participants build what they've never been given. Training the body. Strengthening the mind. Creating community.

Our vision: a network of community centres across Canada — hubs where at-risk youth and formerly incarcerated individuals can access consistent follow-up, be rewarded for progress, and belong to something larger than themselves.

What We Offer

🥊 Boxing Training

Professional instruction from elite fighters. Discipline, precision, resilience. Technique, not just force.

💪 Physical Conditioning

Strength, cardio, movement. These participants haven't just been starved of opportunity — they've been starved of physical mastery.

🎯 Leadership Development

How you carry yourself, how you make decisions, how you influence your peers. Conflict resolution. Making choices instead of excuses.

🤝 Mentorship

One-on-one time with coaches and fighters who get it — who have the scars, the victories, and the authenticity to back it up.

🏆 Competition

For those who are ready: safe, supervised events to apply what they've learned and assert themselves in the world.

🌐 Community

Not "lone wolf." "We rise together." Build friendships, build networks. Know that you belong.

Why It Matters: The Evidence

The numbers make the case. Sport-based intervention isn't feel-good programming — it's one of the most cost-effective crime prevention tools we have.

Sports-based crime prevention programs consistently show:
  • Decreased aggression and anti-social behaviour
  • Significant improvements in self-esteem and psychological outcomes
  • Reductions in anxiety, depression, and PTSD symptoms
  • Improved confidence, mood regulation, and prosocial behaviour

When you combine high-risk youth, a lack of positive role models, and the proven value of sport and mentorship — you have a powerful, necessary intervention.

What These Young People Are Missing

💪 Strength, In Person

They may never respect the teacher who's never been in the trenches — but they will respect the fighter who has bled, trained, and chosen to give back.

📋 Structure, Not Chaos

Many come from homes where discipline was inconsistent or absent. They need a place to show up, push through, and earn something real.

🎯 Mentorship, Not Lectures

They want someone who sees them, believes in them, challenges them, and holds them accountable. Not a program. A person.

🏆 Recognition for Effort

They're too often defined by what went wrong. We reward what goes right — backpacks, laptops, educational access, forward momentum.

🤝 Belonging, Not Isolation

If you've done time, or you're on the edge, you feel alone. We say: you matter. Your story isn't over.

🌍 A Bigger World

By bringing in professional fighters — including international talent — we keep the gym dynamic and give participants exposure to excellence beyond their immediate neighbourhood.
